Job Context

Job Responsibilities
The Opportunity: The Project Director is mainly responsible for overall development and implementation of the project activities in alignment with the national pandemic response plan. This will be achieved through managing the performance of the project team and liaising with relevant authorities of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Development Partners, USAID, Professional Associations, the private sector organizations and other stakeholders. The Project Director will serve as the technical and management lead of the project and participate in planning and monitoring, coordination and review meetings, and report on the progress of the project's efforts. S/he will lead the development of detailed activity plans and budget, make necessary adjustments to the work plan and budget based on the emerging need. S/he will identify competent partners in implementing different components of MaMoni MNCSP COVID-19 Response activities and build effective partnerships with eligible organizations.

Educational Requirements
Medical Graduate (MBBS), preferably with Masters in Public Health (MPH)
Experience Requirements
At least 8 year(s)
Additional Requirements
At least 8 years of experience in working in public health sector, preferably in maternal and child health, family planning, universal health coverage, and communicable diseases control, including 4 years in management role
Demonstrated expertise in coordination and providing technical support to MOHFW
Excellent understanding of MOHFW structures, systems, policies and procedures
Experienced in managing relationships with multiple donors, including USAID
Proven experience in partner, budget, employee management
Sound knowledge on Health System of Bangladesh
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Package
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bangla
Ability to work under pressure, motivated and willingness to work within a team
